Joliet, Illinois · Owner-run
Bathroom, basement and kitchen remodeling in Joliet.
Joliet Remodeling Pros is Reed Cantu's remodeling company. One local contractor who looks at your space himself, puts the price in writing, and stays on the job until the final walkthrough.

What we remodel
Three rooms, done properly.
We keep the list short on purpose. Bathrooms, basements and kitchens are where most Joliet homes need the work, and where doing it right takes real plumbing, electrical and carpentry judgment.

The person who quotes it is the person who builds it.
A lot of remodeling in the Joliet area is sold by one person and built by whoever is free that week. The estimate looks great, then the details you talked about get lost somewhere between the office and the crew.
Here, Reed does the walkthrough, writes the scope, and is on the job. If you mentioned that the bathroom door hits the vanity, or that you want the basement outlet where the TV will go, it is in the estimate and he remembers it.
It also means a straight answer when something should not be done, like tiling over a floor that flexes or finishing a basement wall that is still taking on water.
How a project runs
From first call to final walkthrough.
- 01
Call or send the form
Tell us the room and roughly what you want. A two-minute call is usually enough to know whether a visit makes sense.
- 02
Walk the space together
Reed measures, opens a cabinet or two, checks the plumbing and electrical you can see, and listens to how you use the room.
- 03
Get it in writing
You get a written estimate that lists what is included, what is not, and what the permits cover. No verbal ballparks that change later.
- 04
Build, inspect, walk through
Demo, rough-in, inspections, finishes. At the end we walk the room with you and fix anything you are not happy with before calling it done.
Budgeting
What remodeling costs around Chicago right now.
These are the 2025 Chicago-area averages from Remodeling magazine's Cost vs. Value report, which prices the same model projects in every metro. Your project will be priced on its own, but they are an honest place to start a budget conversation.

Tell us about the room.
A name, a number and a sentence about the project is plenty. We will reach out to set up a time to see it in person.

Before you call
Do you take on small jobs?
Yes, within reason. A tub-to-shower swap, a vanity and floor refresh, or finishing one room downstairs are all normal jobs for us. If something is too small to send a crew out for, Reed will tell you on the phone rather than waste your time with a visit.
Who pulls the permits?
We do. Joliet and the surrounding villages require permits for most remodeling, especially anything that touches plumbing, electrical or framing. The permit work and inspections are part of the written quote, so they are not a surprise later.
Do I deal with a salesperson or the person doing the work?
The person doing the work. Reed answers the phone, comes out to look at the space and writes the price. The same person you met at the estimate is the one you call during the job.
Which towns do you cover?
Joliet first, plus Shorewood, Crest Hill, Plainfield, Lockport, Romeoville, New Lenox, Channahon, Minooka and Rockdale. If you are a little outside that ring, call anyway. Bigger projects are often worth the drive.
How do I get a price?
Send the form or call. We set up a time to see the room, take measurements, talk through what you want, and then send a written estimate with the scope spelled out line by line.
Want a real number for your project?
Reed comes out, measures, and puts the price in writing. No pressure, no sales pitch.
